Description

Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems within a Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct all activities related to software installation, maintenance, and system stability.
• Manage senior staff and resource allocation to ensure projects meet schedule and budget constraints.
• Oversee IT account budgets, financial forecasting, and corporate reporting.
• Respond to RFPs, build IT project models, and author Statements of Work (SOW) for new business.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation solutions while maintaining system SLAs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing a Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
• Heavy experience working in a COBOL environment.
• Proven track record managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience managing large-scale, concurrent projects and shifting business priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff within complex IT environments.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and revenue/margin maximization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
