Description

Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) software. Manage staff, budgets, and project delivery.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Direct software installation, maintenance, and system stability within the MMIS environment.
• Manage senior staff, resource allocation, and shifting business priorities to meet schedule and budget constraints.
• Oversee IT account budgets, financial forecasting, and corporate reporting for revenue and margin maximization.
• Respond to RFPs, build IT project models, and author Statements of Work (SOW) for new business.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation solutions, and maintain system SLAs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing a Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
• Heavy experience working in a COBOL environment.
• Proven track record managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience managing large-scale, concurrent projects in complex IT environments.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and revenue/margin maximization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
