Description

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Android applications serving millions of users.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own design decisions for new and existing application development and escalate technical obstacles.
• Lead medium and large-scale projects while guiding and training less experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, and Product Management to evaluate tools and solution feasibility.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions to meet documented user requirements.
• Partner with QA Engineers to develop optimal test plans and resolve defects during release stabilization.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of Android User Interface, platform-specific concepts, frameworks, and application life cycles.
• Experience with Fastlane and Jenkins.
• Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and time complexity.
• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns and UX/UI concepts.
• Experience with App/Play Store structure, maintenance, and deployment.
• Ability to work with backend interfaces, including APIs and CDNs.
• Competency in JSON manipulation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with third-party SDKs such as Firebase, Branch, Salesforce, or Foursquare.
• Knowledge of mobile secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10.
