Description

You will manage and optimize MongoDB environments across replica sets and sharded clusters on Linux platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters.
• Manage MongoDB Ops Manager setup, including onboarding clusters and performing upgrades.
• Implement security enhancements using X509 and TLS/SSL authentication.
• Automate backup, restore, and monitoring tasks using Python and shell scripting.
• Execute cluster migrations, including version upgrades and migrations to AWS.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration with a focus on MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience designing and installing multi-node sharded clusters and replica sets.
• Deep understanding of shard key selection, including range-based and hash-based sharding.
• Proficiency in MongoDB replication architecture and change streams.
• Experience managing MongoDB Ops Manager, including Groups and Projects.
• Ability to implement security via X509 authentication and SSL key file configuration.
• Competency in Python and shell scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of text indexing and query optimization.
• Experience managing data growth through cluster conversions and shard management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with query plan analysis for performance tuning at the host and database levels.
