Description

You will administer and maintain MongoDB environments across various production loads, ensuring high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters to meet application requirements.
• Automate backup, restore, and monitoring jobs using Python and shell scripting.
• Manage cluster scaling by adding or removing replica and shard nodes as needed.
• Implement security enhancements using X509 and TLS authentication across all mongod instances.
• Document MongoDB installations, operations, security, and auditing across multiple environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience designing, installing, and configuring multi-node MongoDB sharded cluster replica sets on Linux platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of MongoDB replication architecture and change streams.
• Proficiency in using Python and Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
• Experience with MongoDB Ops Manager setup, onboarding, and upgrades.
• Strong understanding of shard key selection and ensuring even data distribution across shards.
• Knowledge of query plan architecture and performance tuning at both host and DB levels.
• Experience migrating MongoDB clusters to AWS.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization, including X509 authentication and configuring SSL key files.
• Experience with various sharding types, including range-based and hash-based sharding.
