Description

You administer and maintain MongoDB environments on Linux.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters per application requirements.
• Onboard clusters to MongoDB Ops Manager and manage group/project concepts.
• Automate backup, restore, and monitoring jobs using Python and shell scripting.
• Manage replica and shard node additions and removals within the cluster.
• Document installation, operations, security, and auditing procedures across environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years designing, installing, and configuring multi-node MongoDB sharded cluster replica sets on Linux.
• In-depth knowledge of MongoDB replication architecture and change streams.
• Expertise in MongoDB security, including X.509 and TLS authentication implementation.
• Proficiency in query plan architecture and performance tuning at host and database levels.
• Experience managing MongoDB Ops Manager.
• Knowledge of shard key design and ensuring even data distribution across shards.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
• Experience with MongoDB upgrades (e.g., 4.0 to 4.xx) and data migration.
• Familiarity with AWS for MongoDB cluster migration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating MongoDB clusters to AWS.
