Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale MongoDB clusters in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage MongoDB clusters with 20+ shards or 10TB+ of data without relying on Ops Manager.
  • Automate MongoDB installation, upgrades, and database change deployments across multiple shards.
  • Implement and test disaster recovery (DR) plans, high availability (HA) solutions, and business continuity strategies.
  • Monitor cluster health by tracking slow queries, replication lags, node failures, and resource usage.
  • Optimize performance through index implementation, server configuration fine-tuning, and query analysis.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience managing large MongoDB clusters (20+ shards or 10TB+ datasets).
  • Hands-on experience with backups, restores, replication, and cluster scaling.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize slow queries and implement appropriate indexing.
  • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) using LDAP, HashiCorp, or Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of database hardening and implementing security best practices.
  • Experience performing impact analysis for builds, patches, and hotfixes alongside application teams.
  • Proven ability to design and execute maintenance plans during releases or outages.
  • Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic shell scripting skills.
