Description

Manage and optimize MongoDB infrastructure, focusing on cluster configuration, security hardening, and automation.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and configure multi-node MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets on Linux.
• Implement security enhancements using X.509 and TLS authentication to comply with organizational standards.
• Automate backup, restore, and monitoring processes using Python and shell scripting.
• Manage Ops Manager setup, including onboarding clusters, upgrades, and managing Groups and Projects.
• Tune query performance, analyze plan architecture, and ensure even data distribution across shards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with MongoDB administration.
• Deep knowledge of MongoDB replication architecture, change streams, and sharding strategies (range and hash-based).
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation tasks.
• Experience with AWS for MongoDB cluster migration and deployment.
• Strong understanding of Linux platforms for database hosting.
• Ability to perform cluster upgrades, migrations, and data tuning.
• Knowledge of NoSQL data modeling and indexing strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating MongoDB clusters to AWS.
