Description

You will build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot, with a primary focus on MongoDB data storage and schema design.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, test, and maintain production-ready code while participating in code reviews.
• Manage MongoDB data storage, including schema design, CRUD operations, and query optimization.
• Troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments through root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to deliver features and write unit/integration tests.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience with Java (core language, collections, concurrency basics).
• Hands-on experience building backend services with Spring Boot.
• 3-4 years working with MongoDB, including schema design, aggregation, and basic maintenance.
• Proven experience developing REST APIs and integrating microservices.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and API testing.
• Strong understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB migrations, data transformation, or ETL work.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
