Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, and lifecycle of MongoDB and Couchbase databases within an R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prepare new MongoDB and Couchbase offerings for company-wide use.
• Document and present technical patterns, best practices, and operational techniques for hosting and DBA teams.
• Manage enterprise-scale deployments including high availability, replication, cluster management, and automated provisioning.
• Execute rolling upgrades, backup and restoration, security implementations, and health monitoring.
• Troubleshoot database internals, durability settings, and performance tuning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB and/or Couchbase.
• Deep understanding of DBMS concepts including ACID, CAP, and consistency.
• Experience with intra- and inter-data-center high availability and failover configurations.
• Proficiency with Unix command line and shell scripting.
• Experience with Ansible for automation.
• Familiarity with virtualization and container orchestration including VMWare, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Knowledge of public cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases in public clouds such as DynamoDB, FireStore, or BigTable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
