Job Title: MongoDB Developer

Location: Princeton, NJ/Hybrid

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated MongoDB Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MongoDB development, including data modeling, aggregation pipelines, performance optimization, and database administration. You will work closely with backend developers, DevOps engineers, and data architects to build scalable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement MongoDB database solutions to support application development

Create robust database schemas, models, and indexes to support business logic

Write complex aggregation queries and optimize existing queries for performance

Work with developers to integrate MongoDB into backend services (Node.js, Python, etc.)

Implement data migration strategies and backup/restore procedures

Monitor database performance and tune queries for optimal speed and efficiency

Ensure high availability, security, and integrity of database systems

Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and maintain MongoDB instances in cloud or on-prem environments

Prepare technical documentation and support data-related queries from the team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB and NoSQL concepts

Proficient in writing aggregation queries, indexing, and sharding strategies

Experience with at least one backend programming language (Node.js, Python, Java, etc.)

Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas and cloud-based deployments

Solid understanding of data modeling and normalization in NoSQL

Knowledge of version control systems like Git

Understanding of security best practices and backup strategies in MongoDB
