Description

You will design and build scalable physical data models for MongoDB.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate logical data models into efficient, scalable MongoDB physical schemas.
• Design, optimize, and implement data models to meet performance and storage requirements.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure data model alignment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all physical data models and schema changes.
• Guide junior team members and stakeholders on MongoDB data modeling best practices.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing MongoDB physical data models for large-scale applications.
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB concepts, including schema design, index strategies, and query optimization.
• Ability to interpret logical data models and translate them into efficient MongoDB physical data models.
• Expertise in document-oriented database design, including normalization and denormalization specific to MongoDB.
• Proficiency with MongoDB tools such as Compass and Atlas.
• Demonstrable experience with MongoDB, data modeling, and NoSQL technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other NoSQL databases or data modeling tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards in data modeling and MongoDB performance tuning.
