Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions and backend services using MongoDB and microservices architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement MongoDB data models, schemas, indexing, aggregation pipelines, sharding, and replication strategies.
• Develop backend services using Python, JavaScript, or Spring Boot within a microservices environment.
• Execute data migration and ETL/ELT processes while maintaining strict data governance standards.
• Ensure data security compliance for PHI, PII, and PCI data across all systems.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional development experience.
• Expertise in MongoDB data modeling, schema design, and aggregation.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas, Shell, and Compass.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Spring Boot.
• Experience building and operating microservices.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT patterns and data governance practices.
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS or GCP).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka.
• Familiarity with MarkLogic.
