Description

You will design and execute the migration of relational data systems to MongoDB, ensuring high availability, scalability, and data integrity across AWS, GCP, and MongoDB Atlas.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design flexible schema models and document structures using embedded and normalized patterns for optimal read/write performance.
• Implement advanced CRUD operations, complex aggregation pipelines, and indexing strategies to maintain query efficiency.
• Manage replication, sharding, and failover mechanisms to ensure horizontal scalability and high availability.
• Develop migration scripts and automation tools using Python, JavaScript, and Spring Boot for ETL/ELT processes.
• Enforce data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards for PHI, PII, and PCI data.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB, including Atlas, Compass, and native commands.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, Java, and JavaScript for application development and scripting.
• Strong understanding of Relational Database (SQL) concepts and migration strategies.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and Spring Boot framework.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools, Pub/Sub, and Kafka streaming technologies.
• Competency in cloud platforms AWS and GCP.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Mark Logic database and XQuery concepts.
• Familiarity with healthcare data systems, including members, providers, and claims.
