Description

You will manage database administration, provisioning, and performance optimization for MongoDB and MySQL environments. You will own the availability and efficiency of our data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer and provision database platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
• Fine-tune MongoDB and server configurations to improve system efficiency.
• Manage capacity planning and performance tuning across database clusters.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, replication, and high availability protocols.
• Develop and publish database health checks to monitor slow queries, replication lags, node failures, index usage, and resource consumption.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in MongoDB configuration and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in capacity management and resource planning.
• Experience managing replication lags and node failures.
• Ability to monitor CPU, memory, locks, and connection counts.
• Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery workflows.
• Knowledge of high availability (HA) architectures.
