Description

You will design, govern, and optimize enterprise MongoDB data platforms supporting high-volume workloads.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement MongoDB sharding and replication strategies for distributed systems.
• Tune performance through index design, query plan analysis, and aggregation optimization.
• Automate database operations, health checks, and diagnostics using Linux, Bash, and Python.
• Integrate MongoDB with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation practices.
• Establish monitoring standards, runbooks, and incident response practices to reduce MTTR.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB in enterprise production environments.
• Expertise in distributed database design, including failover behavior and read/write topology.
• Deep knowledge of sharding for large datasets and high-throughput applications.
• Strong background in Linux administration and scripting (bash and/or Python).
• Experience integrating MongoDB with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to diagnose complex performance issues across queries, indexing, and infrastructure layers.
• Familiarity with Jira and Microsoft Project for task management and SDLC tracking.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with backup and recovery tooling aligned to RPO/RTO targets.
• Knowledge of transaction semantics and connection pooling patterns.
