Description

You will manage MQ infrastructure and implementation within a z/OS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with application teams to determine suitable MQ implementations for their requirements.
• Provision MQ infrastructure and ensure all solutions meet established quality standards.
• Resolve MQ-related alerts and incidents to maintain system stability.
• Contribute to change management processes and disaster recovery events.
• Own and maintain accountability for MQ infrastructure stability and delivery.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience administering MQ in a z/OS environment.
• Deep knowledge of MQ Queue Sharing Groups and MQ clusters with mainframe QManger members.
• Experience managing channel authentication in z/OS.
• Proficiency in TLS certificate management and stream Queues.
• Solid understanding of MQ disaster recovery events on mainframe and underlying dependencies.
• Experience managing the MQ upgrade process in a z/OS environment.
• Understanding of MQ application programming in z/OS using C, COBOL, or Java.
• Knowledge of MQ infrastructure dependencies and security exits.
• Proven experience with change management and incident management practices.
