Description

Manage the installation, migration, and maintenance of CICS and related products in a z/OS environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS regions and related IBM products.
• Perform CICS problem determination, performance tuning, and interface with IBM support groups.
• Execute Disaster Recovery procedures and testing protocols.
• Manage the installation and support of ISV products from IBM, CA, McKendrick, and Macro4.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in MQ and CICS environments.
• Proficiency with IBM SMP/e (Software Management Program/extended).
• Deep understanding of z/OS functions including APF, LINKLIST, LPA, and VSAM.
• Hands-on experience with CICS upgrades and migrations.
• Knowledge of ACF2 security protocols.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex CICS issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using CA Sysview, Omegamon, or TMON for CICS monitoring.
