Description

Develop and maintain IBM MQ channel, API, and message exits using C programming to ensure secure, thread-safe message processing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize MQ exits (channel, API, message) in C for multi-threaded environments.
• Integrate MQ exits with external systems like LDAP and REST APIs for authentication and data transformation.
• Provide L3 production support by troubleshooting MQ issues and resolving complex defects.
• Collaborate with platform teams to modernize legacy MQ exits and reduce custom implementation dependencies.
• Maintain code standards, documentation, and manage versioning, deployment, and rollback activities.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in middleware, messaging systems, or low-level system programming.
• Strong hands-on expertise in C programming and IBM MQ internals.
• Proven experience building thread-safe, high-performance applications.
• Experience developing custom MQ exits (channel, API, message).
• Knowledge of system integrations including LDAP and REST APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with production support and modernization of MQ environments.
