Description

You will manage production and non-production database environments across Azure and on-premises infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, SQL on Azure VMs, and on-premises SQL Server instances.
• Implement and test high availability, disaster recovery, log shipping, and DataSync replication strategies.
• Execute performance tuning and optimization for stored procedures, views, functions, queries, and ETL jobs.
• Manage database security, maintain health through statistics and index management, and deploy SSIS/SSRS/Power BI artifacts.
• Automate operational tasks using scripts and SQL Agent jobs while providing 24x7 support for database integrity.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in MS SQL Server versions 2016 through 2022.
• Advanced performance tuning including query execution plan analysis and DMV assessment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency with SSRS, SSIS, and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and workload management in Synapse.
• Proven experience with HA/Failover technologies and DR environments.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to design and create databases to support development initiatives.
