You will manage Microsoft SQL Server data environments on physical and virtual servers.
Responsibilities
Maintain and modernize SQL Server 2012–2019 environments on Windows Server 2012–2019.
Design and manage physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.
Perform database backups, recoveries, and parameter configurations.
Optimize database access and allocate resources for performance and cost efficiency.
Prototype designs against logical data models and define data repository, dictionary, and warehousing requirements.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in database administration.
Proficiency in SQL Server installations, feature additions, and instance upgrades.
Expertise in DML, DQL, DDL, and DCL.
Strong SQL programming skills for authoring, maintaining, and rewriting complex legacy scripts.
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
Deep understanding of data modeling, including logical, physical, relational, ER diagrams, entities, attributes, cardinality, functions, views, and triggers.
Knowledge of normalization, aggregation, concurrency, and JSON data interchange formats.
Experience implementing security standards based on NIST and Microsoft Trust Center/Azure Compliance.
Work experience with Azure Cloud Services, BLOB Storage, SQL Data Tools, SQL Reporting Services, or AWS.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Redgate SQL Monitor, Advanced Query Tool (AQT), or Quest Toad.
Ability to support and maintain DB2 11.5 LUW, DB2 12.0 z/OS, or Oracle systems.
