Description

You will manage and maintain the MS SQL Server environment, ensuring high availability and performance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server 2008, 2019, and 2022 installations, including user rights, backups, and recovery.
• Troubleshoot SQL Server performance issues, specifically identifying and resolving deadlocks and blocking.
• Monitor index fragmentation and maintain indexes to optimize query performance.
• Deploy databases from development and testing environments into production.
• Create and administer automated SQL Server jobs, notifications, and Database Mail.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in MS SQL Server administration, including installation, backups, and recovery.
• Proficiency in SQL Server performance tuning and deadlock resolution.
• Experience managing database files, file groups, and space allocation.
• Ability to manage database users, profiles, and privileges.
• Experience applying service packs and hotfixes.
• Experience resolving daily tickets for MSSQL and Snowflake.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Snowflake and MySQL environments.
