Description

You will provide L3 support for SQL Server and other database platforms across on-premises and Azure environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deliver L3 support for SQL Server, focusing on performance tuning, backup/restore, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and optimize Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure data services including Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Design and maintain HA/DR solutions using Always On, Geo-replication, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, T-SQL, or Azure CLI to streamline operations and deployments.
• Act as the escalation point for critical database incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services and cloud environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Azure CLI for automation.
• Experience managing PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Knowledge of database security, including encryption, auditing, and role-based access control.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Query Store.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing HA/DR solutions like Always On and Geo-replication.
