Key Responsibilities

• Monitor database health and availability to ensure reliable production operations.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, access, security and application-database issues.
• Analyze and tune long-running queries and database performance.
• Install, patch, upgrade and manage SQL Server instances, including failover clustering and migrations.
• Review and refine database processes and automation; leverage OS scripting utilities for maintenance and diagnostics.
• Assess existing implementations and recommend or implement changes to improve stability and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Experience with SQL clustering, mirroring, high-availability solutions and database tuning.
• At least 1 year of experience with Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks, or an equivalent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, data modeling and Windows platform administration is preferred
