Description

You will design and optimize database schemas for various DMS modules while ensuring data integrity and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize database schemas, focusing on normalization and performance for sales, service, and accounting modules.
• Monitor and tune query performance, indexing, and storage to resolve bottlenecks in high-transaction environments.
• Manage backups, restores, disaster recovery plans, and implement data archiving or partitioning.
• Execute production database migrations to the cloud and maintain hybrid staging environments.
• Implement security protocols including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and audit monitoring.
• Establish standard operating procedures and maintain documentation for schemas and workflows.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in database management, including 10 years as a DBA.
• Expertise in MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with NoSQL and Azure SQL Database.
• Deep knowledge of SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plans.
• Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Ability to use PowerShell, Shell, Python, or Perl for automation and scripting.
• Experience with data migration and transformation tools like Talend or Informatica.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and database versioning tools such as Flyway or Liquibase.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
