Description

You will lead development activities for a global Enterprise Data Warehouse team, focusing on EDW modernization and data engineering solutions for corporate reporting, analytics, and data science.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test ETL processes for global EDM development, infrastructure, and business data.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Principal Engineers to deliver design artifacts and align solutions with enterprise architecture.
• Develop, configure, and test programs of varying complexity while ensuring implementations are scalable, performant, and secure.
• Estimate work effort for project planning and escalate risks or delays to project leads.
• Apply industry trends to implement appropriate technology practices and consulting within the team.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software development and design with an emphasis on data warehousing, ETL methodologies, and data cleansing.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing ETL processes using SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Oracle, Exadata, DB2, or Teradata.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Delta Lake, PySpark, and ADLS.
• Deep understanding of data warehouse design, including slow changing dimensions, aggregation, partitioning, and indexing.
• Experience with Lambda architectures integrating real-time and batch mode compute.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline activities using Azure DevOps and Azure Git Repo.
• Strong background in the insurance industry and understanding of the Accord Model.
• Experience working within Agile (Scrum) methodologies using Jira and Confluence.
• Proven ability to perform tuning and troubleshooting for complex distributed systems in 24/7 production environments.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Stonebranch enterprise scheduling.
• Experience with BI performance management tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau.
