Description

You will manage, optimize, and automate SQL Server databases within AWS cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server databases on AWS EC2 and RDS.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and resource allocation.
• Configure and automate backup strategies using AWS S3 and Lifecycle Policies.
• Monitor performance using AWS CloudWatch, SQL Profiler, and CloudTrail.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, AWS Lambda, or AWS Systems Manager.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including RDS, EC2, and S3.
• Proficiency with SQL Server administration and user management.
• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell or Python.
• Experience managing database backups and recovery objectives.
• Ability to integrate SQL Server solutions into cloud-based applications.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of log shrinking techniques.
