Description

Manage multi-terabyte MS SQL Server production environments with 24x7 support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, upgrades, and physical database design for SQL Server infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions, including Always On and replication.
• Execute backup and recovery strategies, ensuring regular testing and validation.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through proactive optimization.
• Manage team performance, handle client escalations, and maintain process documentation.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server administration in a production environment.
• Expertise in managing multi-terabyte databases and complex SQL Server installations.
• Strong proficiency in HADR configurations, specifically Always On Availability Groups and replication.
• Proven ability in database performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience providing 24x7 production support for critical systems.
• Skilled in managing client communications and technical escalations.
• Ability to review and update technical process documentation.
