Description

Akkodis is seeking an experienced MSBI Developer to support the migration and modernization of enterprise Business Intelligence and reporting solutions to Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server.

The successful consultant will work closely with business users and technical teams to gather reporting requirements, develop data models, cubes, dashboards, reports, and semantic models, and migrate existing Cognos solutions to the Microsoft technology stack.

The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, advanced SQL, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, data modelling, ETL, data warehousing, security, data quality, performance optimization, and BI solution architecture.

Scope

Migrate existing Cognos reports and cubes to Microsoft BI technologies, including SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.

Gather and analyze business reporting and analytics requirements.

Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and delivery plans.

Design data models that transform raw enterprise data into meaningful business insights.

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.

Assignment Deliverables

Migrated Cognos reports and cubes.

Power BI dashboards and reports.

SSRS enterprise reports.

SSAS tabular and multidimensional models.

Semantic data models.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Strong experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) technologies.

Advanced SQL development skills.

Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI and DAX.

Strong experience designing and developing SSAS tabular and multidimensional models/cubes.

Experience developing and supporting enterprise reports using SSRS.

Strong experience with SQL Server development.

Experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS, Informatica, or comparable ETL technologies.

Experience migrating or modernizing reporting solutions from Cognos to Microsoft technologies.

Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.

Experience implementing data and row-level security.

Nice to Have:

Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives.

Familiarity with Microsoft cloud-based data and analytics technologies.

Experience administering BI platform users, permissions, and infrastructure
