Description

You will manage all aspects of database development under the direction of the DBA manager.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support database applications and complex SQL code including stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
• Optimize and tune database code and indexing for performance enhancements.
• Create, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using SSIS and Python.
• Collaborate with IT scrum teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues alongside network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience working with databases, specifically SQL Server (versions 2016, 2017, and 2019).
• 7+ years of experience developing ETL processes using SSIS packages in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and analysis.
• Technical expertise in relational and dimensional database design, including physical and logical data modeling.
• Strong understanding of database security principles and data privacy practices.
• Experience in database and metadata analysis and design.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric technologies, including Data Lake, Data Warehousing, and data governance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with reporting platforms such as SSRS, SSAS, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, including clustering, mirroring, and replication.
• Database administration skills covering backup, recovery, and security.
