Description

You will administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server versions 2012 through 2022, including upgrades and maintenance plans.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery strategies, conducting regular DR testing for critical databases.
• Troubleshoot performance issues such as deadlocks, blocking, and high CPU utilization using DMVs and DBCC commands.
• Implement and manage high availability solutions including clustering, Always On availability groups, and log shipping.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and T-SQL, and maintain core database objects like stored procedures and triggers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server.
• Expertise in SQL Server versions 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022.
• Proficiency with T-SQL and PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience managing BI components including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Strong understanding of HA/DR technologies (Clustering, Always On, Log Shipping).
• Familiarity with ITIL Processes (Incident, Change, Problem management).
• Experience with performance tuning using SQL Profiler and Database Tuning Advisor (DTA).
• Ability to manage security, including auditing, login, and permission management.
• Experience working in Azure database environments.
