Description

Manage and maintain SQL Server instances and DB2 environments. You will own the release pipeline for database infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and manage SQL Server instances from 2008 through 2017.
• Configure and maintain high availability using SQL Mirroring, Clustering, Always-On Availability Groups, and log-shipping.
• Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and error diagnosis in real time.
• Automate repetitive database tasks and implement emerging technologies.
• Support L1/L2 level DB2 work and coordinate with customers on queries.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of database administration experience.
• Expertise in SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017).
• Hands-on experience with DB2.
• Proven ability to implement High Availability configurations.
• Knowledge of SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Experience with database security, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with Azure or AWS relational database services.

Preferred Skills

• PowerShell scripting.
• NoSQL database experience.
