Description

You will manage the design, migration, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build new MSSQL infrastructure and migrate data from legacy systems.
• Develop pre-implementation plans including verification and backout procedures.
• Optimize database performance and collaborate with application SMEs for end-to-end middleware testing.
• Automate migration tasks using PowerShell and SQL scripts.
• Maintain technical documentation for migration strategies, rollback plans, and security compliance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and 2019.
• Proven experience migrating between MSSQL database versions.
• Expertise in provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting on-premises MS SQL High-Availability setups.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL scripts, and Windows Server 2016/2019.
• Ability to create detailed testing, implementation, and rollback documentation.
• Strong understanding of database performance monitoring and optimization.
• Experience working with closed-source third-party products.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with IBM Liberty or WebSphere Application Server (WAS) middleware.
