Description

You will manage the administration, availability, and reliability of MSSQL database systems in a 24x7 production environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day BAU tasks, including incident management, RFCs, and high-severity issue resolution.
• Manage database installations, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Own backup and recovery procedures, DB refreshes, and maintenance tasks like index and DBCC management.
• Monitor database performance, availability, and event logs to ensure SLA compliance.
• Configure and troubleshoot replication, log shipping, clustering, and Always On availability groups.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of relevant experience in MSSQL administration (version 2014 and above).
• Strong expertise in T-SQL, performance tuning, and debugging performance issues.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Profiler, Extended Events, Query Store, and Intelligent Query Processing.
• Proficiency in schema object and partition management.
• Experience with log and scheduled job management using Control-M or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends for 24x7 production support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MSBI components including SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
• PowerShell scripting and Windows administration experience.
• Application DBA exposure.
