Description

Role description

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4.x preferred).
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Set up and maintain Mule Runtimes on standalone servers, CloudHub 1.0/2.0 (RTF — Runtime Fabric), and containerized Kubernetes environments.
  • Configure environment-specific properties using secure configuration files, Anypoint Secrets Manager, and externalized property management.
  • Experience with Anypoint Omni Gateway (Flex Gateway) for API deployment and management.
  • Implement and manage API policies (Rate Limiting, SLA Tiers, OAuth 2.0, JWT, IP Whitelisting) through Anypoint API Manager.
  • Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, WebSockets JMS, FTP/SFTP, and database connectors.
  • Familiarity with RAML and OpenAPI Specification (OAS/Swagger) for API design and documentation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft Anypoint Platform-based integrations including System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs following the API-led connectivity model.
  • Build and consume RESTful and SOAP-Based APIs, handling complex data transformations using DataWeave 2.0.
  • Develop integrations using MuleSoft with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), messaging platforms (Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Implement error handling, retry mechanisms, exception strategies, and dead-letter queue patterns.
  • Apply MuleSoft best practices including reusable components, shared libraries, common error frameworks, and logging standards.
  • Develop Batch jobs, Schedulers, and event-driven flows for asynchronous processing.
  • Work with MuleSoft Anypoint Exchange to publish, manage, and consume reusable assets.
  • Enforce API governance standards: naming conventions, versioning policies, SLA management, and deprecation strategies.
  • Implement security best practices including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, TLS/mTLS, certificate management, and API key rotation.
  • Hands-on experience building pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency with Maven or Gradle for MuleSoft build automation.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (required); Level 2 or Integration Architect certification is a strong plus.
  • Mentoring mindset — willingness to guide junior developers and participate in knowledge sharing.
  • Familiarity with iPaaS platforms (Boomi, IBM, Tibco) as a comparison advantage.
  • Familiarity with observability tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
  • Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ELB), Azure, or GCP cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, and code review practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
