Description

You will design, build, and administer highly available MySQL databases for mission-critical applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support production databases across global data centers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot MySQL replication and clustering to maintain data consistency.
• Perform performance tuning, backup and recovery operations, and proactive monitoring of database systems.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues to maintain system availability and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Automate database tasks using scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of overall professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on MySQL administration experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Linux, and Python.
• Experience with database replication and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of GCP and AWS cloud environments.
• Expertise in performance tuning and database administration.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SQL Server administration.
• Data warehouse experience with Google BigQuery.
• Familiarity with automation tools for database provisioning and monitoring.
