Description

You will manage and optimize MySQL 5.7/8.0 databases on Linux-based systems and AWS infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL instances, ensuring high availability through replication (Master-Slave, GTID) and clustering (InnoDB Cluster, Galera).
• Perform database performance tuning, slow query analysis, and index optimization to maintain system efficiency.
• Manage backup and recovery processes using mysqldump and Percona XtraBackup, including disaster recovery planning.
• Operate and troubleshoot AWS-hosted MySQL databases (EC2, RDS, Aurora), handling patching, upgrades, and security management.
• Automate operational tasks and CI/CD pipelines using Shell/Python scripting, Jenkins, and GitLab.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of hands-on MySQL DBA experience in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL 5.7/8.0 administration and configuration.
• Proficiency in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) for database systems.
• Experience with AWS cloud services for databases, including EC2, RDS, and Aurora.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, backup strategies, and recovery practices.
• Ability to script in Shell or Python for automation tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Percona MySQL or MariaDB.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and PMM.
