Description

Manage database infrastructure, performance, and security within a high-traffic OLTP environment. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain database performance, availability, and security across the platform.
• Execute routine DBA tasks including upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning and database-level adjustments.
• Monitor live databases and support the wider platform to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to implement infrastructure solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• At least 1 year of focused experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or Percona XtraDB Cluster.
• Proven experience in 24x7, high-traffic OLTP environments.
• Experience implementing highly available infrastructure for high-volume transactional sites.
• Strong understanding of RDBMS systems with an emphasis on MySQL.
• Proficiency in Linux, specifically CentOS or similar distributions.
• Experience with database performance monitoring and analysis.
• Knowledge of MySQL standards and best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience scaling MySQL beyond simple replication.
