Description

Manage and maintain complex MySQL database infrastructure supporting build and test platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Provision and configure MySQL instances, including standalone, replication, cluster, and HA setups.
• Ensure database performance, security, and availability across all environments.
• Execute backup, recovery, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot application and operational issues in collaboration with development teams.
• Monitor DB infrastructure and optimize resource usage.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in MySQL Database Administration.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL and SQL, including recent versions (5.5 through 9).
• Hands-on experience with HA, Replication, and InnoDB Cluster.
• Proficiency in Unix or Python shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms: OCI, MySQL Heatwave, and AWS RDS.
• Proficiency in DB monitoring tools such as DataDog or Prometheus.
• Skilled in optimizing SQL statements and understanding MySQL storage engines.

Preferred Skills

• General understanding of Elasticsearch and MongoDB database management.
