Description

Manage and optimize MySQL database environments across AWS and GCP cloud platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute MySQL major upgrades and manage version migration procedures for 5.7 and 8.0.
• Manage high availability using GTID-based replication, group replication, and Galera solutions.
• Perform OS and database patching within established cycles.
• Automate day-to-day operational activities and maintain technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and tune database performance on Linux systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL storage engines, Percona utilities, and performance_schema.
• Experience with ProxySQL and Orchestrator.
• 3-4 years of Shell Scripting experience.
• 2-3 years of Python programming experience.
• Proficiency in Bash and Go.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP.
• Experience using Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring.
• Strong Linux system performance tuning skills.
