Description

You will install, configure, and maintain MySQL, Redis, and PostgreSQL databases across on-premises and AWS environments. You manage high availability replication and optimize AWS managed services like RDS, Aurora, and ElastiCache. You automate infrastructure with Ansible and CloudFormation, and implement monitoring via CloudWatch, PMM, or Datadog. You collaborate with developers to optimize schemas and queries, and work with DevSecOps to apply security patches. You design backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure reliability.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL, Redis, and PostgreSQL databases in on-premises and AWS environments.
• Manage replication solutions for high availability and administer AWS managed services (RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, S3, EC2).
• Automate routine tasks and infrastructure setup using Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems (CloudWatch, PMM, Datadog, MonYog) to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers to design efficient schemas, optimize complex queries, and perform capacity planning.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with MySQL administration.
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud Computing, including RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, S3, and EC2.
• Proficiency in managing Redis and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting or Python.
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, PMM, or Datadog.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with disaster recovery strategy development and implementation.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices for security patching and upgrades.
