Description

Manage and optimize MySQL database environments across hosted, enterprise, and appliance models.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backup processes using Percona XtraBackup and manage disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform database performance tuning, security configuration, and capacity planning for system storage.
• Handle production support, operational recovery, and escalation resolution for corrupted databases.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain database servers, application tools, and underlying operating systems.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in MySQL database administration.
• Expertise in MySQL disaster recovery and data recovery methodologies.
• Proficiency with Percona Toolkit and Percona XtraBackup.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL underlying storage engines and best practices.
• Experience managing database security, user accounts, and access levels.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to design, code, and implement database utilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MariaDB, Oracle 11g or higher, Exasol, or MSSQL.
• Background in Analytics, Data Warehousing, or NoSQL databases.
