Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of MySQL databases across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL databases, including managing replication and cluster setups.
• Execute backup and restore operations, utilizing shell scripts to rebuild servers.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and deadlock troubleshooting.
• Manage user creation, schema modifications, and respond to file system threshold alerts.
• Handle tickets, change requests, and ITDR activities to meet established SLAs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Proficiency with MySQL database management and administration.
• Experience writing and using shell scripts for server rebuilding and automation.
• Hands-on experience with replication setups, cluster setups, and router installations for InnoDB clusters.
• Ability to perform database migrations and consolidations.
• Experience managing tickets and change requests within a technical operations workflow.
• Knowledge of DBA tools for performance tuning and recovery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
