Manage MySQL database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for application teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database servers in Linux/Unix environments.
• Monitor database performance, security, and availability, implementing high availability and clustering solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database structures to improve system efficiency.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions using Shell, Python, or Bash scripts.
• Manage database backups, recovery, disaster recovery planning, migrations, upgrades, and patching.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA or Database Developer.
• Strong proficiency in SQL query writing and optimization.
• Experience with MySQL backup and recovery tools.
• Knowledge of Replication, Clustering, and High Availability concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Understanding of database security policies and user access controls.
• Experience in database performance tuning and monitoring.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Certification in MySQL or database technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
