Description

You will manage and optimize MySQL database environments to ensure high availability and security.

Responsibilities

• Provision MySQL instances in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
• Manage database performance, tuning, availability, and security across all clusters.
• Develop database schemas, ERDs, and technical documentation.
• Execute database migrations, backups, recoveries, and upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis for database issues and conduct clean-ups.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in MySQL database management.
• Proficiency with recent MySQL versions and storage engines like InnoDB and MyISAM.
• Experience configuring MySQL replication.
• Strong ability to write and optimize SQL statements.
• Expertise in Table Scan, Row Scan, Query Execution Plan, and SQL Profiler.
• Knowledge of MySQL features including the Event Scheduler.
• Ability to create and manage Standard, Indexed, and Partitioned views.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other SQL/NoSQL databases.

Preferred Skills

• DBA Certification.
