Description

Manage MySQL database environments and lead migrations from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.

You will own the release pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Profile current MySQL database environments, data architecture, and .com databases.
• Validate current databases and DDLs using usage data.
• Identify and prioritize database optimization opportunities for pre- and post-migration phases.
• Collaborate with architects to plan and execute migrations to AWS MySQL.
• Perform database health assessments, upgrades, and performance tuning.

Required Skills

• 8 to 10 years of experience in MySQL database administration.
• Proven experience upgrading SQL servers.
• Hands-on experience migrating SQL servers from on-premises to AWS.
• Expertise in AWS MySQL.
• Strong understanding of data architecture.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies (AWS).
• Ability to conduct database health assessments and performance tuning.
