Description

You will own the management and optimization of MySQL database infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provision MySQL instances in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
• Ensure database performance, security, and availability.
• Handle database procedures including upgrade, backup, recovery, and migration.
• Profile server resource usage and optimize configurations.
• Prepare necessary documentation and technical specifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with MySQL database management.
• Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL statements and Procedures.
• Understanding of MySQL storage engines, specifically InnoDB and MyISAM.
• Experience configuring MySQL replication.
• Proficiency in MySQL features, including the event scheduler.
• Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of MySQL limitations and their workarounds compared to other relational systems.
• Experience with DB migration activities.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Javascript and Java.
