You will provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and implementing SNAP/TANF eligibility systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement eligibility systems for SNAP, TANF, and Benefit Recovery.
• Collaborate with DHS program areas to gather and define business and IT requirements.
• Interpret and implement federal and state mandates within Linux-based and mainframe environments.
• Oversee project lifecycle activities, including release planning and development coordination.
• Lead and mentor development teams while driving technical direction and issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 6+ years experience with automated eligibility determination systems (SNAP, TANF, SNAP E&T).
• 3+ years providing SME-level expertise in Mainframe CICS architectures.
• Strong knowledge of SNAP/TANF eligibility policies, economic assistance programs, and mandates.
• Advanced experience in data analytics using relational databases, specifically SQL Server.
• Experience with Mainframe, Linux, Windows, Python, Cobol, SQL Developer, Adabas, and MySQL.
• 6+ years experience in business requirements elicitation and process improvement.
• Proven track record leading development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MAVS or similar eligibility systems.
