Description
You will manage the governance and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery management (BCDRM) for the NC FAST portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for large-scale application systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, and technical requirements gathering.
- Identify Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) to ensure IT infrastructure supports business recovery plans.
- Coordinate IT service restoration as the IT disaster event coordinator during disaster scenarios.
- Plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test plan adequacy and update procedures.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- 7+ years of experience in DR planning techniques, risk assessment, and business impact analysis.
- 7+ years of experience developing training for subject matter experts on DR tools, templates, and methodologies.
- 7+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and emerging technologies.
- 7+ years of experience managing schedules, documentation, and communications.
- 6+ years of experience in strategic planning and tactical execution.
- Hands-on knowledge of IT systems, COOP, and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
- Ability to analyze problems and determine root causes.
