Description

Manage governance and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery management (BCDRM) for the NC FAST portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for large-scale application systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, and technical requirements gathering.
• Define Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) to align IT infrastructure with business recovery plans.
• Coordinate IT service restoration as the disaster event coordinator during active incidents.
• Plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to validate plan adequacy and update procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• 7+ years of experience in DR planning techniques, risk assessment, and business impact analysis.
• 7+ years of experience developing training for subject matter experts on DR tools, templates, and methodologies.
• 7+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and emerging technologies.
• 7+ years of experience managing schedules, documentation, and communications.
• 6+ years of experience in strategic planning and tactical execution.
• Hands-on knowledge of IT systems, COOP, and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
• Ability to analyze problems and determine root causes.
